PROCEDURE
An extremely fine, short needle is used to inject. Generally this treatment is not painful and can be well tolerated with no anaesthetic. The area may have some slight redness and swelling which normally resolves within an hour. The procedure usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes.
RESULTS
The treatment normally starts to take effect after 2-7 days, but this may vary slightly with some individuals. Maximum effect is typically seen at 14 days. You will be invited to attend a review appointment 14-21 days after your first appointment, where the success of the treatment may be assessed and adjustments to your personal treatment plan made, if necessary. The effects will normally last 10-12 weeks on average.
POST PROCEDURE
The treatment requires little to no recovery time. Minimal redness, swelling and bruising may occur.
